Printing onto synthetic media…? Is it the same as paper?

The method of printing is just the same…load it into your paper cassettes, tell the print engine what the stock is and press ‘print’.. very simple.

The output possibilities go beyond simple.

Synthetic substrates are:-

Tearproof…useful for items that many people may touch

Waterproof…useful for menus where spillages may occur

Chemical resistant….images can’t be accidentally wiped clean

Weatherproof… even wind and rain won’t damage your message

These substrates can be cut easily and offer an alternative to lamination for some items.

You can even use them for floor stickers, in this covid world of direction signs etc.

Whilst this video is made by Xerox, it is fair to say that synthetic media will run through MOST digital laser printers.
