Swimming in a Sea of Sameness?.

Maybe, you are a printing company, creating amazing marketing messages for your clients, driving their business to new levels?

Maybe, you are a salesman, peddling your various wares from printing devices or printed output that helps to deliver the above? (This is ME BTW)

Either way, we all need to understand that times have changed and doing what we always did, doesn’t get the results that we might need today.

I write a lot of my own blogs, but that doesn’t mean that I have all the answers and don’t need to listen to other people.

This interview between Warren Werbitt (AKA The Print Whisperer) and Gee Ranasinha has me nodding along with agreement.

There are a few real pearls in here, not least the reference to “Swimming in a Sea of Sameness”.

Tune in and give them a damn good listening to:- Warren Werbitt Goes Printer to Marketer with KEXINO’s Gee Ranasinha – YouTube

  1. Thanks, Paul. So happy you found the discussion interesting.

I think the time of product or feature-based differentiation is coming to an end. Pretty much every printing company in a particular category offers the same capabilities, quality, customer service, etc. Prospects are looking for someone – anyone – to stand out and make their buying decision easier.

Looking the same and saying the same things as your competitor inevitably makes you blend into the background. If we agree the biggest business challenge today is trying to get customers to think of us at all, then a strong and differentiated brand is no longer a ‘nice-to-have’. It’s the difference between success and mediocrity.
